Thank you to Dr. Bill Wittich for his very informative presentation on how to attract members into Rotary. At our next club meeting, (October 26th) we will spend time discussing what we do well in attracting prospective members and new ideas to consider for future implementation. His book points out five key innovative strategies. They include: 1) social media, 2) creating a sense of community, 3) A relevant meeting format, 4) limiting club expectations, 5) being flexible with expectations.
We will not meet at Chason’s restaurant next Wednesday, Oct. 19th. It is my hope that most of you will schedule a visit to another club in our area and return the following week to share your experience. You may want to car pool with another Rotarian in our club. You can find a list of clubs with their meeting times and locations on the District 5180 website.
Elk Grove High School Interact Charter Ceremony: Please join us on Wednesday, October 19th at 3:30pm in the cafeteria at Elk Grove High School for our newest interact club! We look forward to sponsoring this club and getting the students at Elk Grove High involved in future projects/ activities.
