A huge thanks to Barefoot Winery public relations representative Jenniffer MacDonald for speaking at our luncheon last week. As a representative of the company, she emphasized the importance of being a role model on and off work. This certainly rings true for Rotarians also! Her gift of a bottle of wine for each person attending the meeting last week was much appreciated!
The Rotary workday project was successfully completed on Saturday with the installation of a swing set, play house, playground fiber and a walking path at a transitional house for homeless families in Elk Grove. More information and pictures will be forthcoming.
Bob Lent will be speaking about the Ataco/El Salvador project at our next meeting on September 14th. We look forward to an update on the work of Rotarians in helping the poor in our “Sister City”.
